The official site of the Greater Lansing Amateur Hockey Association, serving Delta Township, East Lansing, Lansing, Meridian Township, St Johns, and surrounding communities of Michigan.

We are a 501(c)(3) "non-profit" corporation operating for charity and the benefit of members and their families. Services include participation in charitable events, player/team registration, and fundraising to offset player fees. We are affiliated with the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) and USA Hockey; all teams are registered / operated in accordance with guidlelines and policy published by these organizations.


Suburban 2010 Summer Hockey School & Academy

Suburban Ice East Lansing Open House August 22nd

The 2nd Annual Suburban Customer Appreciation Day is being held at the rink on Sunday August 22nd from 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm.

Come and skate for free, participate in other games and street hockey.  Free raffles, & sticks & pucks, and hot dogs & drinks!

An equipment swap & sale will be going on that day.  If you have equipment that you want to sell or donate to GLAHA (and receive a tax deduction), have your equipment there by 1:30 pm please.  Equipment will be available free to those that need it.

Come and get back on the ice with your friends, family and neighbors! 

 


2010 USA Hockey Referee Seminar in Lansing

 
For those skaters that will be 13 or older by December 31st, you have the opportunity to be a USA Hockey Referee - learn the game from the Referee's side and earn money while you learn.
 
The 2010 USA Hockey Referee seminar for the Lansing area will be held on Sunday, August 29th, at the Summit Ice Arena in Dimondale from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Bring the following materials with you - writing utensil, paper, skates, helmet and a whistle.
 

3 on 3 Tournament at Suburban July 31st

The Lansing Capitals '98 team is sponsoring a 3 on 3 tournament for Mite, Squirt, Peewee & Bantam divisions on Saturday, July 31st.  This is a 3 game guarantee, 5 game maximum.

Open the 3 on 3 flyer/registration form below for more information.  This is a perfect chance to get back on the ice with your friends for the day to have some fun and get out of the heat of the summer! 

No roster is required other than listing your 6 skater, 1 goalie team list on the registration form.

GLAHA 2010-11 Fall Registration Information

 
1.    Register by May 1st and your deposit is just $50, which is refundable if you don't skate with GLAHA in the fall.
 
2.    Register after May 1st through June 1st and your deposit is $100, which is refundable if you don't skate with GLAHA in fall.
 
3.    If you register June 2nd and beyond, your deposit required is $150.  In addition, a $50 non-refundable registration charge will be assessed to your account after July 1st.
 
Registration can be done in the following ways:
a.    on-line at Skater Registration area on this website
b.    paper registration downloadable at the Skater Registration section on this website
c.    paper registration form available at Suburban ice East Lansing's service desk.
 
Payments of your registration can be made in the following ways:
a.    on-line when you register through Pay Pal at the Skater Registration portion of this website
b.    check or money order sent to GLAHA, PO Box 1238, East Lansing MI 48826-1238
c.    check, money order, or cash - in envelope - at Suburban's service desk - have staff put in the GLAHA lock box.
 
GLAHA encourages payments throughout the summer so that your final payment due December 31st are lower.  Summer payments can be made via Pay Pal at the Account Payments section of this website, or by sending a check or money order to GLAHA, or at Suburban to the GLAHA lock box.

State of Fitness Dry-Land Hockey Training

 Enhancing Athletic Performance
 
Justin Grinnell offers one of the most comprehensive dry-land perfromance enhancements training program for hockey players of all ages and playing levels in the state of Michigan. Each player and teams program will be geared towards improving speed, quickness, core strength, power, agility, and endurance.
For the last 7 years Justin has worked with many hockey athletes from Squirt to the NHL and Olympic level. He has been the head strength and conditioning coach of the Lansing Capitals Midget Major.Minor AAA teams for the past 3 seasons.
