Initiation Program/Learn to Play (Ages 4-8)
- Suburban Ice East Lansing (517-336-4272) currently runs the Learn to Play/Initiation Program for GLAHA. With Suburban's years of experience and professional staff, beginning hockey players get the best instruction possible, readying them to move onto organized hockey teams.
Mites (Ages 6-8)
- Mite House. 8 years and under. All skaters placed on teams through evaluations in fall. House league with most games played at home.
Squirts (Ages 9-10)
- Squirt House. 9-10 year olds. Skaters placed on teams according to evaluation point system in fall. Most games played in Lansing along with a few games played in other Suburban Ice rinks against Suburban Squirt House Teams.
- Squirt A (Travel). First year Squirts (9 year olds). Full scale travel schedule. Skaters must attend team tryouts. Team is selected by the coach during the summer.
- Squirt AA (Travel). Second year Squirts (10 and under). Full scale travel schedule. Skaters must attend team tryouts. Team is selected by the coach during the summer.
Peewees (Ages 11-12)
- Peewee B (Adray Community Hockey League). 11-12 year olds. Skaters are open drafted by coaches in fall. Semi-travel team schedule. 10-15 games played out of town.
- Peewee A (Travel). First year Peewees (11 year olds). Full scale travel schedule. Skaters must attend team tryouts. Team is selected by the coach during the summer.
- Peewee AA (Travel). Second year Peewees (12 and under). Full scale travel schedule. Skaters must attend team tryouts. Team is selected by the coach during the summer.
Bantams (Ages 13-14)
- Bantam B. 13-14 year olds. Semi-travel team in the Adray Community Hockey League. Skaters are open drafted by coaches in fall. 10-15 games played out of town.
- Bantam A (Travel). First year Bantams (13 year olds). Full scale travel schedule. Skaters must attend team tryouts. Team is selected by the coach during the summer.
- Bantam AA (Travel). Second year Bantams (14 and under). Full scale travel schedule. Skaters must attend team tryouts. Team is selected by the coach during the summer.
Midgets (Ages 15 and over)
- Midget B or BB (Adray Community Hockey League). Skaters are open drafted by coaches in fall. Semi-travel team schedule. 10-15 games played out of town. B is 16 and under, BB is 18 and under.
- Midget A (Travel) Ages 16 and under. Full scale travel schedule. Skaters must attend team tryouts. Team is selected by the coach during the summer.
Varsity High School
- Ages 14 through Senior in High School. High School hockey is not a part of GLAHA. Skaters attending schools that offer Varsity hockey are eligible to play on these teams. Teams are selected by the coaches after football season. A limited number of games season, per Michigan High School rules and regulations, are offered. Local teams are members of the Capital Area Activities Conference Hockey League. Teams in the league are East Lansing, Okemos, Holt, Grand Ledge/Waverly, Lansing Catholic, Williamston/Haslett, Jackson Lumen Christi, Dewitt/St Johns, Jackson High, Mason/Eaton Rapids/Charlotte.
